Giving Management a 14% wage increase is widening the gap
between rich and poor. A municipality
who has money to spend above and beyond the cost of municipal responsibility could
put the excess funds to better use to improve the lives of pensioners, the sick,
crime fighting, nature conservation, animal welfare, the lowest paid workers, the
unemployed, education, or the homeless in the community. The idea is to aim to provide a better life
for all, instead of lining the pockets of decision makers.
